Fees & Rewards
Fee Overview
LastHash has a transparent fee structure with no hidden charges. All fees are enforced by smart contracts and verifiable onchain.
| Fee Type | Amount | When Applied | Recipient |
|---|---|---|---|
| Platform Fee | 10% | On winner payouts | Treasury |
| Referral Commission | 1% | On referred winner payouts | Referrer |
| Revival Fee (Round 1) | 10% | When reviving after R1 elimination | 50% prize pool / 50% treasury |
| Revival Fee (Round 2) | 30% | When reviving after R2 elimination | 50% prize pool / 50% treasury |
| Gas Fees | Variable | Every transaction | Base network |
Platform Fee
A 10% fee is deducted from each winner's gross payout when they claim rewards.
Without a Referrer
Gross Payout: $250.00
Platform Fee (10%): -$25.00
Net Payout: $225.00
The full 10% goes to the LastHash treasury.
With a Referrer
If you joined using a referral link, the 10% fee is split:
Gross Payout: $250.00
Referral Commission (1%): -$2.50 → Referrer
Platform Fee (9%): -$22.50 → Treasury
Net Payout: $225.00
Your net payout is the same either way — the referral commission comes out of the platform's share, not yours.
Revival Fees
Revival fees give eliminated players a second chance while enriching the prize pool for survivors.
Round 1 Revival
- Fee: 10% of your original wager
- Available during: Intermission 1
- Distribution: 50% to prize pool, 50% to treasury
Example:
Wager: $100
Revival Fee: $10
→ $5 added to prize pool (helps all survivors)
→ $5 to platform treasury
Round 2 Revival
- Fee: 30% of your original wager
- Available during: Intermission 2
- Distribution: 50% to prize pool, 50% to treasury
Example:
Wager: $100
Revival Fee: $30
→ $15 added to prize pool
→ $15 to platform treasury
The Round 2 fee is 3x higher than Round 1 because reviving later in the game gives less exposure to elimination risk.
Revival Limits
- Maximum one revival per player per game
- Revival is only available after Round 1 and Round 2 eliminations
- No revival after Round 3 or overtime — if you're eliminated in the final stages, the game is over
Reward Calculation
Prize Pool Formula
Total Prize Pool = All Player Deposits + 50% of All Revival Fees
Individual Payout Formula
Gross Payout = Total Prize Pool x (Your Wager / Total Survivor Deposits)
Net Payout = Gross Payout - Platform Fee (10%)
Worked Example
Game Setup:
- 8 players join with various wagers totaling $800
- 2 players revive in Round 1, paying $20 total in revival fees
- 1 player revives in Round 2, paying $30 in revival fees
Prize Pool Calculation:
Player deposits: $800.00
Revival fee to pool (50% of $50): +$25.00
Total Prize Pool: $825.00
Final Survivors (3 players):
| Player | Wager | Share | Gross Payout | Fee (10%) | Net Payout |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Alice | $200 | 44.4% | $366.67 | $36.67 | $330.00 |
| Bob | $150 | 33.3% | $275.00 | $27.50 | $247.50 |
| Carol | $100 | 22.2% | $183.33 | $18.33 | $165.00 |
| Total | $450 | 100% | $825.00 | $82.50 | $742.50 |
Return on Investment
In this example:
- Alice wagered $200 and received $330 — 65% profit
- Bob wagered $150 and received $247.50 — 65% profit
- Carol wagered $100 and received $165 — 65% profit
When all survivors wagered equally, they each get the same % return. When wager sizes differ, the % return is identical for all survivors — what varies is the absolute amount.
Fee Caps
Smart contracts enforce maximum fee limits that cannot be exceeded:
| Fee | Maximum | Current Default |
|---|---|---|
| Platform Fee | 20% | 10% |
| Referral Commission | 5% | 1% |
| Revival Fee (R1) | 35% | 10% |
| Revival Fee (R2) | 35% | 30% |
These caps are hardcoded in the factory contract and provide a guarantee that fees will never exceed these thresholds.
Gas Fees
All transactions on Base require a small ETH gas fee. Typical costs:
| Action | Estimated Gas Cost |
|---|---|
| Approve USDC | < $0.01 |
| Join Game | < $0.01 |
| Submit Prediction | < $0.01 |
| Revive Player | < $0.01 |
| Claim Rewards | < $0.01 |
Base's L2 architecture keeps gas costs extremely low compared to Ethereum mainnet.
