Introduction
What is LastHash?
LastHash is an onchain prediction market built on Base where players compete by predicting ETH price movements across multiple elimination rounds. Each game is a battle of conviction — predict whether ETH will go LONG (price up) or SHORT (price down), survive the rounds, and claim your share of the prize pool.
Unlike traditional prediction markets, LastHash uses a multi-round elimination format that creates escalating tension. Players who predict incorrectly are eliminated, and the prize pool is distributed among the last survivors standing.
Why LastHash?
Fully Onchain — Every prediction, elimination, and payout is executed through audited smart contracts on Base. No centralized servers make decisions. The oracle (Pyth Network) provides real-time ETH/USD pricing that the contracts use to determine round outcomes.
Transparent & Fair — All game logic is verifiable on the blockchain. Elimination rules, fee structures, and prize distribution are enforced by immutable contract code. No one — including the team — can alter the outcome of a game once it starts.
Skill-Based — While short-term price movements have randomness, experienced traders can leverage technical analysis, market sentiment, and timing to gain an edge. The multi-round format rewards consistent decision-making over luck.
Low Barrier to Entry — Wager as little as $0.10 USDC to enter a game. Built on Base for fast, low-cost transactions.
How It Works (Quick Overview)
1. JOIN → Pick LONG or SHORT, set your wager ($0.10 - $2,000 USDC)
2. ROUND 1 → ETH price is tracked for 5 minutes. Wrong side is eliminated.
3. REVIVE → Eliminated? Pay a 10% fee to get back in with a new prediction.
4. ROUND 2 → Another 5-minute price round. Wrong side eliminated again.
5. ROUND 3 → Final round. Survivors split the entire prize pool.
6. CLAIM → Winners receive proportional payouts based on wager size.
If too many players survive Round 3 (>89%), the game enters Overtime — sudden-death rounds until enough players are eliminated.
